Verkat was established in 2018 when two sisters, Sonja and Nataša, went public with the small family wine production they grew up with. Our wine story started with the care for our unique family Malvasia plantation here in Čerević.

At the very start, the production was small, enough to fulfill our personal needs. However, as the years went by, the wine and winery gained importance in our lives. So we decided to go public with Verkat.

went by, the wine and winery gained importance in our lives. So we decided to go public with Verkat. We expanded our vineyard with Grašac White and found our spot at the already familiar address 13, Jovana Grčića Milenka.

Starting with 2018, when it was officially established, Verkat has produced  fine wines of recognizable quality and approach every year, and our wine house has become a place for people to gather and rest.

This is why we have decided to transfer that good feeling to our everyday life.”
Verkat is wine, vineyard, Fruška gora,
our green garden, and the community of people with whom we enjoy working with.
We have a diverse team that comes from different areas of expertise and interests, from art, history, law, and agriculture all the way to rock and roll. What binds us is our love of wine and Fruška gora, our friendship, and the feeling of fulfillment we get when we create something beautiful.

Our Verkat team is comprised of sisters Sonja and Nataša Vrkatić together with our cellarmasters Božidar Srdić and Zoran Mikalački, experience winegrower Marko Kostić, technologist Danijel Sokolović, wine house host Ksenija Čerevićki and of course our friends from Čerević whose help and support are beyond measure.
